Biography
My real name is Robin Hishinuma and my music name is Robbie Numa. I was born in Ewa, Hawaii, a little sugar plantation town on the Island of Oahu. I am of Japanese ancestry and Hawaiian by culture… 32 years of it! Since then, I’ve lived in Connecticut, Ohio and Texas. Currently, I am a singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist playing in smaller venues in Dallas Texas. I decided to share my original songs by recording my first CD called "Love is Blind".
Here in Dallas, I’m currently playing for private parties and in smaller venues playing golden hits of the past under the name of "Flashback". I enjoy singing, songwriting, and playing the acoustic guitar. While growing up, I was strongly influenced by the Beatles, Eagles, Hall & Oates, CCR, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, Steely Dan and Rod Stewart. Most of my sets include music from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. I’m having fun and hope one day, you get to hear and experience my music!
